The McClung Museum Store is holding a back-to-school sale during all of August.

Customers will receive 25 percent off most museum merchandise, including toys, books, artwork, jewelry, and unique gifts. Items by local artists include wooden bowls and pens by Randy Gleckler, hand-blown glassware by James Breed, and jewelry by Katie Dirnbauer, Sarah Brobst, and Barbara Forman.

In addition to the August sale discount, museum members and UT students will get their regular 10 percent discount in the museum store. For more information about membership call 865-974-2144, or join online.

Proceeds from the sale support the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture’s educational programs, which reach thousands of university and K–12 students in the East Tennessee region each year.

The McClung Museum is located at 1327 Circle Park Drive. Admission is free, and museum hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Complimentary parking is available in front of the museum on Circle Park Drive on a first come, first served basis. Free public transportation to the museum is available via the Knoxville Trolley Vol Line.
