A portion of Middle Drive between Perkins and Dougherty Halls will close at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, to allow work to begin on the new Engineering Quad streetscape project. The road will reopen by the end of July, and construction is scheduled to finish before the start of the fall semester.

During the closure, traffic on Middle Drive will be diverted to Lower Drive. All on-street parking along Estabrook Road will close in June but will reopen before fall semester.

Sidewalk access along at least one side of Middle Drive will be maintained during the road closure.

Entrances to several buildings will also be impacted during the project.

The accessible entrance for Perkins Hall will be open from Middle Drive, but the entire entrance on the east side of the building will be closed for the summer. Accessible entry into Ferris Hall will be open from the Lower Drive entrance. The entire Middle Drive entrance to Ferris Hall will be closed during the summer.

Access to the back of the Science and Engineering Research Facility from Middle Drive will be available, but ramps will be blocked. Disability access to the building will be available at the entrance from Circle Drive. The T Access bus will be available for those who need accessible transportation in front of the SERF on Circle Drive.
