WVLT’s Melissa Lee interviewed Cheryl Greenacre, professor of small animal clinical science in the veterinary teaching hospital, about the dangers of handling wildlife. Greenacre stressed that usually the best course of action is to leave animals alone, because they may not be able to be safely released back into their natural habitats after being handled by people.
