Music lovers are invited to the second annual Jazz Festival Concert on Saturday, March 7.

The 6:30 p.m. event will feature the UT Big Band with guest musician Dick Oatts. It is free and open to the public and will be held in the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center, 1741 Volunteer Boulevard.

The concert is part of the daylong Jazz Festival, which will give East Tennessee middle and high school band students the opportunity to sharpen their music skills and learn from top jazz professionals. Participating bands will perform before clinicians who will then provide feedback to the students.

The festival will feature master classes for students and include sectional workshops for saxophones, brass, and rhythm led by members of the UT jazz faculty and Knoxville Jazz Orchestra, and a jazz master class led by Oatts.
