The university introduced a new logo on January 1 of this year. Since then, more than 150 campus units have received logo and template files from the Office of Communications and Marketing.
The four-stage process of implementing the new logo is at its halfway point. This week, the communications office will contact liaisons for the units assigned to Block 3.
Please look through the list of campus units and be sure a logo liaison has been identified for your area. If not, tell us who we need to work with. If you don’t see your unit on the list at all, please let us know.
A few items on the university’s communications resources website have been recently updated with the new logo. These include template files for PowerPoint, HTML e-mails, and research presentation posters. Over the next few weeks, old wordmark and template files will be removed from that site, and additional new templates will be made available.
Also, anyone on the Knoxville campus who orders business cards or stationery from University Printing and Mail will receive those materials in the new university template.
After the logo implementation process wraps up this summer, the existing communications resources will be replaced with a more comprehensive toolkit. Be sure you are subscribed to the CAMPCOMM listserv for campus communicators. Additional information will be posted there as it becomes available.
