When the death of any UT Knoxville student occurs, whether it’s on or off campus, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Life coordinates the university’s response. Student Life staff members’ goal is to provide timely, caring assistance to the family and the campus community.
If you are contacted or made aware of a student’s passing, please notify the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Life at 865-974-7449 or studentlife@utk.edu. The Vice Chancellor for Student Life will notify appropriate university offices and officials and ensure that the needs of the family are addressed.
