Irish tunes and hot Latin beats are on tap for the next faculty chamber series concert at UT on Sunday, October 5.

More than a dozen UT School of Music faculty will showcase their talents during the 3:00 p.m. event.

The concert will feature two longtime faculty members—Patricia Carter, associate professor of piano, and Rusty Holloway, associate professor of string bass—who are retiring in December. This will be their final chamber series performance and each will be recognized for their longtime commitment to UT faculty and students.

The concert is free and open to the public and will be held in the Sandra G. Powell Recital Hall of the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center. A reception will be held after the performance in the atrium of the Haslam Music Center.

The afternoon will include selections from Four Pieces for Brass Quintet by Paquito D’Rivera, Petite Suite by Claude Debussy, Four Irish Folk Songs by Alan Smith and Septet, Op. 65, by Camille Saint-Saens.
