tailgateblooddrive v0.1Tennessee and Florida fans will have a chance to compete more than two and a half weeks before the two football teams face off in Neyland Stadium on Saturday, October 4.

The ninth-annual Tailgate Blood Drive, a competition between Tennessee fans and Florida fans, will be held next week, September 15–19.

Medic Regional Blood Center is calling on all UT faculty, staff, students, and fans to donate blood to help Tennessee fans out-give Florida. Last year the Vols won the competition.

Students, faculty, and staff who donate during the drive will receive a free T-shirt, a coupon for a free small cheese pizza from Snappy Tomato, a free Petro from Petro’s Chili and Chips, and a free Texas Roadhouse appetizer.

During the competition, Medic will be set up inside Rooms 223 and 224 at the Carolyn P. Brown University Center, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. In addition, donors can visit the following campus blood drive locations:

Tuesday, September 16: Noon to 8:00 p.m., Hess Hall, inside lobby

Wednesday, September 17: Noon to 8:00 p.m., South Carrick Hall, inside lobby

Thursday, September 18: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Hollingsworth Auditorium, UT Institute of Agriculture
