Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek invites all Knoxville campus employees to a Fall Kickoff Picnic on Monday, August 18, at the Gate 21 Plaza of Neyland Stadium.
A casual lunch will be served from noon to 1:30 p.m. on the plaza.
“We appreciate the hard work and dedication of all of our faculty and staff,” said Cheek. “This is a great way to come together as we welcome our students back to campus and begin a new academic year.”
The picnic has become an annual employee event during Welcome Week. The chancellor hosted an outdoor lunch for employees last year at Circle Park.
Monday’s menu will include hot dogs, barbecue and hamburger sliders, homemade potato chips, potato salad, assorted cookies, brownies, and Mayfield ice cream. A vegetarian option will be provided.
