Faculty and staff can help new students make the transition to life at UT a little easier during Welcome Week, August 16 through 22, by wearing an “Ask Me” button.
The Office of New Student and Family Programs is launching the “Ask Me” button initiative this semester as a way to help new students feel comfortable asking faculty and staff questions as they join the UT family.
Faculty and staff who wear the button should be willing to answer questions for students who need help during their first few days, whether in the classroom or out and about on campus.
To receive a button, e-mail newvols@utk.edu with your name, department name, office location, and the number of buttons to be delivered to your office. The Office of New Student and Family Programs will have students deliver the buttons to you later this week.
