On August 15, Facilities Services will begin using Archibus, a new computerized system for scheduling, dispatching, managing, and reporting maintenance tasks.

The new system will increase efficiency and reduce operational costs by making greater use of self-service capabilities, which also increases customer satisfaction.

Once the new system is implemented, Facilities Services customers will be able to log in using their NetID and view or submit work requests, project requests, key requests, or event solicitations. They also will be able to view all past history of their work requests. Customers will be notified of work status changes, and cost center approvers will be able to request estimates and approve or reject requests online for chargeable services before any work begins. Cost center approvers also will be able to provide substitute approvers during times when they will be away from the office.

No formal training will be required. However, current customers may wish to review the online overview before attempting to use the new system. Beginning August 15, all requests for Facilities Services work should be entered online or by calling the Facilities Services “One Call” line at 865-946-7777.
