UT’s Howard Hall, a Governor’s Chair in the Department of Nuclear Engineering in the College of Engineering, Natalie Manayeva, a research assistant at the Institute for Nuclear Security, and Dean Rice, adjunct faculty member and former congressional aide, have had an article they wrote on the situation in Ukraine featured by CNN and a Czech Republic newspaper, Neviditelný Pes.

The trio discuss the little-reported aspect of the situation in the Ukraine that two major political parties there have pushed for the country to pull out of the nuclear nonproliferation treaty, how that could lead to a new nuclear arms race, and what the implications of such a move could mean worldwide.

Additionally, Hall and Manayeva were featured on the NPR show “Background Briefing with Ian Masters” in a segment about their thoughts on the Ukraine.
