WHAT: The 29th annual International Festival hosted by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, International House

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 11

WHERE: The Joe Johnson/John Ward Pedestrian Mall, walkway located between John C. Hodges Library and the Humanities and Social Sciences Building

BACKGROUND: UT’s international organizations will sell food and artifacts and stage live performances representing their culture.

Cultures represented will include Japan, Turkey, Africa, Russia, China and Latin America, to name a few.

The schedule for International Festival entertainment is:

11 a.m. – East Indian classical dance

11:30 a.m. – Chinese classical dance

11:45 a.m. – USA breakdance and hip hop

Noon – African dance

12:15 p.m. – Russian dance

1 p.m. – Chinese kung fu

1:10 p.m. – Japanese dance

1:30 p.m. – Korean taekwondo

2 p.m. – African drum and dance ensemble

2:30 p.m. – French dance

The event is free and open to the public.
