Jennie-CaissieJennie Caissie has been named the membership coordinator for UT’s public radio station, WUOT 91.9 FM.

As membership coordinator, Caissie will oversee all aspects of WUOT’s membership program and activities, including maintaining and providing analysis of the membership database, tracking membership revenue, conducting comprehensive on-air and mail membership campaigns, organizing special events, and recruiting and supervising about 300 WUOT volunteers.

“Jennie is a wonderful addition to the WUOT team,” Corporate and Community Relations Director Cindy Hassil said. “In addition to her experience in noncommercial radio fundraising, she has an enthusiasm for working with volunteers and a true passion for public radio.”

Caissie comes to WUOT with more than ten years of government and nonprofit experience, most recently working as the development director for both Statewide Organizing for Community eMpowerment (SOCM) and WDVX-FM.

Caissie holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology from UT. She graduated from Karns High School. Caissie now lives in West Knoxville, but has also lived in Asheville, North Carolina; Gaithersburg, Maryland; Atlanta, Georgia; and Lakenheath, United Kingdom, where she was stationed in the United States Air Force.

Listener-supported WUOT 91.9 FM is licensed to the University of Tennessee. WUOT is a member of NPR and a Public Radio International affiliate. The station’s primary format is classical and jazz music, news, and public affairs. WUOT serves listeners throughout East Tennessee and parts of Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. The station broadcasts twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and streams on the web at wuot.org. WUOT’s second audio channel, WUOT-2, is available on HD Radio, Internet radio, and the web.
