Following Tuesday’s State of the Union address from President Barack Obama, political science professor Anthony Nownes spoke with the Knoxville News Sentinel about the varied response from the Republican party. Nownes said that while most commentators agree that the official party response from Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers was measured and thoughtful, a number of replies from Tea Party members show that the “party is speaking not with one voice, but with several.”
