The Office of Information Technology will increase the T-Storage quotas for home areas and set a new quota for departmental areas on Monday, January 6. Home area quotas (H: drives) will increase from 25 GB to 50 GB. Per-user quota for departmental areas (I: drives) will be enforced at 200 GB. In the departmental areas, each individual will be able to upload up to 200 GB of data to the entire departmental share. OIT expects this change to go unnoticed by most users.

On this same date, OIT will update the schedule on which T-Storage makes backups of your data. The new schedule will be as follows:

  • Hourly backups: created every two hours from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and available for two days.
  • Nightly backups: created nightly and available for twenty-eight days.
  • Weekly backups: created every Monday and available for ninety days.

Instructions for recovering files are available for Windows and Mac.
