The Knoxville News Sentinel took a tour of the campus’s new transit buses, which feature GPS tracking and USB charging stations, and run on the highest level of biodiesel fuel, decreasing the amount of soot emissions into the atmosphere. The newspaper spoke with Jake Baker, Student Government Association president, and Mark Hairr, Parking and Transit Services director, about what the new transit system means to campus.
