PharmacyJoin the campus in celebrating the opening of the new Student Health Center Pharmacy on Tuesday, February 5. The event will introduce services to the campus community. The facility is a big benefit to students, faculty, and staff, who will no longer need to leave campus to have prescriptions filled.

While the Student Health Center’s medical, counseling, and wellness programs are provided to UT students, the on-campus pharmacy is a new benefit for university employees.

Plan to drop in between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for giveaways, food, and beverages. Students also will be able to register for a drawing for an iPad. The pharmacy is on the first floor of the Student Health Building, located at 1800 Volunteer Boulevard.

Several fifteen-minute parking spaces are being added along Pat Summitt Street, on the east side of the building, to make dropping off and picking up prescriptions easier.

The pharmacy can fill prescriptions written by doctors of the Student Health Center as well as those written by outside doctors. The facility accepts most major and minor insurance plans, including those offered by the State of Tennessee.

The pharmacy’s hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. For more information, call the pharmacy at 865-974-5932 or visit the Student Health Center website.
