Subject: Adobe information collection from all UT-owned computers
UT has been selected to undergo a license review to ensure that Adobe software is being utilized in compliance with the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreements (“EULA”). As part of this review, all UT-purchased computers in both Windows and Mac environments will need to have software installation data gathered. (More information on servers, which also need to be reviewed, will be distributed soon.)
UT-purchased computer users have until Thursday, February 7, to complete this review by following the three-step procedure documented at the UT Adobe Audit SharePoint site. The procedure involves downloading a script that will search for Adobe programs and, if any are found, store their directory path in a text file that must be uploaded. Users must not edit the script or the .txt file it generates.
