Patrick Dunn

Patrick L. Dunn, who developed UT’s rehabilitation counseling distance education program, has been named the 2012 Outstanding Rehabilitation Educator.

Patrick DunnHe received the award from the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP), an organization of 2,400 professionals in disability management, case management, managed care, forensics and expert testimony, and life care planning.

The award is the organization’s sole educational honor.

Dunn is an associate professor of counselor education in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. He initiated UT’s rehabilitation counseling distance education program in 2007. He is a founder and co-chair of the Academy of Forensic Rehabilitation Research, which promotes research of law related to disability and rehabilitation.

Dunn is also editor of The Rehabilitation Professional, IARP’s peer-reviewed journal, and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Forensic Vocational Analysis.
