  • March 6, 1:30-3:00 p.m., University Center Shiloh Room

All supervisors are encouraged to attend one of the training sessions. To enroll in the training sessions available on campus or for other information, contact Employee and Organizational Development at 974-6657 or visit the training website.

The e-learning course can be accessed through a link on the Human Resources website.

UT policy HR0129, Performance Review, stresses the importance of the process and specifies that the objective of an annual review is to provide all regular university employees and their supervisors an opportunity to:

  • discuss the employee’s job performance,
  • set goals for professional development, and
  • establish objectives for contributing to the department’s mission.

Annual performance reviews are important in providing dialogue about expectations and accomplishments, and, when raises or bonuses are considered and funded, they are used in merit and eligibility determinations. In addition to the required performance review summary form, optional tools that incorporate supervisory skills, peer evaluations, and performance improvement are available. More information is available on the Human Resources website.

All employees with supervisory responsibility (excluding faculty) must complete the 2013 review process for each of their employees and submit written results to the UT Human Resources Office, located at 230 Conference Center Building, Knoxville, TN 37996-4125.
