The Boy Scouts of America National Council has honored UT President Emeritus Joe Johnson with the Silver Antelope Award, the highest award the council can bestow on a volunteer who works at the regional level. Johnson serves the Southern Region Boy Scouts of America in various roles including the region’s Eagle Scout scholarship committee, finance committee, charter review committee, and the executive and advisory boards. He has dedicated more than fifty years of service to the State of Tennessee.
