The campus’s Spring Cleanup is in its seventh week of tidying up around campus. The twelve-week campaign is an effort to declutter academic buildings by getting rid of surplus equipment, used furniture, trash, and recyclables. After six weeks, crews from Facilities Services have removed approximately 200 tons of surplus equipment and furniture from fourteen buildings.
UTPD has partnered with BAIR Analytics Inc. to provide RAIDS Online, an online, public crime mapping system. The partnership will help keep members of the university community informed about crime that occurs on campus and in the area. RAIDS Online provides a map and crime analysis data. WBIR’s Ken Schwall put on his science thinking cap and joined middle school girls at science camp. Hosted by CURENT and NIMBioS research centers, the fun and educational day camp for middle school-aged girls features activities and tours that have been planned by faculty and education staff at each center.
Dress up, bid up, and tee up by attending the ninth annual Alex Haley Scholarship Golf Tournament beginning Sunday, July 15. The scholarships were established to honor world-renowned author and UT professor, Alex Haley, and have raised more than $225,000 for UT students.
