Make Orange GreenThe University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Community Action Committee (CAC) is hosting an hour-long weatherization workshop at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, as part of ongoing Earth Month celebrations.

UT alumnus and AmeriCorps member John McCollum will host the workshop, which will take place in Room 217 of the Carolyn P. Brown University Center.

McCollum will discuss some simple and easily applied solutions that can reduce home energy consumption and cost and provide health and environmental benefits.

The first fifteen attendees also will receive a “weatherstrip,” which once installed, reduces air flow in and out of doors and saves on heating and air conditioning costs.

The workshop will end with a question-and-answer session.

Now in its sixth year on campus, Earth Month promotes environmental awareness, conservation, and sustainable practices to the campus community.
