Traffic ConesThe “Money Wall,” the line of automatic teller machines on the side of the University Center parking garage, will close as early as Wednesday in preparation for the demolition of the parking garage—the first step in the construction of a new Student Union.

The last day to park in the University Center parking garage is March 16. Its demolition is scheduled to begin March 17.

Three ATMs will open inside the University Center, in the airlock area, just inside the main entry doors off of Phillip Fulmer Way.

“Our plan is to have that operational when students return from spring break,” said Jeff Maples, senior associate vice chancellor for finance and administration.

The new ATMs will include machines from Bank of America, First Tennessee, and SunTrust.

In the interim, automatic teller machines can be found in Volunteer Hall and at Presidential Court. Currently not affiliated with a particular bank, the ATM at Volunteer will soon be switched to SunTrust. The ATM at the Presidential Court Building is operated by First Tennessee. In addition, UT Federal Credit Union has a branch location inside the University Center and ATMs located on the agriculture campus, inside Thompson-Boling Arena, and at the UT Conference Center.
