Living Light, UT Knoxville’s solar-powered house, will be the focus of the January 20 meeting for professionals certified in the design of green buildings. Knox County middle school students this month will learn about energy efficiency and sustainability through Living Light, UT Knoxville’s solar-powered house. Diane Bossart, research associate and manager of the Tennessee Tour, will present the lessons at one private and four public schools, and students will experience them through hands-on activities.
Two Safe Zone training sessions have been set this spring for faculty and staff. Safe Zone is a voluntary network of faculty, staff, and students who believe that every member of the community should have an equal opportunity to grow and learn in a safe and open environment.
