December marks National AIDS Awareness month. Vitaly Ganusov, assistant professor of microbiology at UT Knoxville, has made it his life’s work to uncover how HIV operates. Ganusov is involved in groundbreaking research that could be key to developing a vaccination against HIV.

Scott Poole, dean of the College of Architecture and Design, was named to the “25 Most Admired Educators of 2012” by DesignIntelligence, a report published by the Design Futures Council.
