The research of Justin Boyles, a post-doctoral research associate in ecology and evolutionary biology, was featured in the Kingsport Times-News. Boyles helped uncover the link between the fungus, Geomyces destructans, and the disease White-Nose Syndrome, responsible for destroying more than a million North American bats.
