The University of Tennessee is one of twenty teams taking part in the Department of Energy’s 2011 Solar Decathlon competition on September 23 in Washington, D.C. The Knoxville News Sentinel takes a look at the full-scale prototype that Team Living Light will pit against designs from other universities. The 750-square-foot home was designed by more than 200 UT students from ten disciplines and runs entirely on solar power.
