The New Norris House has been featured by several local news media. The house is a nationally recognized model for efficient and sustainable living. Located in Norris, the house was built by a student-led team at UT. The house is now home to landscape architecture professor Ken McCown and his wife, Mary Leverance, an information science graduate student, who will be living in the house for a year and keeping a blog. The home will be a living laboratory where students and the couple can measure natural light, energy efficiency, the effectiveness of the innovative water infiltration and treatment system, and air quality.
