KNOXVILLE — As the spring semester concludes, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will begin a series of commencement ceremonies and celebrations beginning Wednesday, May 11.

Wednesday, May 11
8:30 a.m., College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Thompson-Boling Assembly Center and Arena
Speaker: Dr. Joe DiPietro, president of the University of Tennessee system
11:30 a.m., College of Engineering, Thompson-Boling Assembly Center and Arena
Speaker: Spruell Driver, a Nashville attorney and member of the UT Board of Trustees. Driver also is a graduate of the college.
3:30 p.m., College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, Thompson-Boling Assembly Center and Arena
Speaker: Tamika Catchings, former Lady Vols basketball player, Women’s National Basketball Association All-Star player, and Olympic Gold Medalist. Catchings also established the Catch the Stars Foundation, which provides academic and sports-related programs for at-risk youth.

Speaker: Alan Wilson, CEO of McCormick Spices and a graduate of the college. Wilson will receive the college’s Donald G. Hileman Distinguished Alumni Award and also serves as the president of the UT Knoxville Alumni Board of Directors.

Speaker: Jennifer Santoro Stanley, founder of OX1 Consulting, a Chattanooga-based firm specializing in improving sales force effectiveness and stimulating profitable sales growth through consulting services. Santoro-Stanley graduated in 1995 and is UT’s most recent Rhodes Scholar and a recipient of the university’s Alumni Promise Award.
