WBIR-TV’s Brittany Bailey reported on a new partnership between UT Knoxville and the Y-12 National Security Complex. “It’s going to make our university stronger, and, in turn, it will make our community stronger,” said Wes Hines, UT’s interim vice chancellor for research and engagement, in the story. “On the same front, it’s going to make Y-12 stronger and the whole Oak Ridge-Knoxville community stronger.” Last week, the two entities signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the goal of pushing more technologies into the private sector and expanding collaborations in areas ranging from joint research to analyzing business operations.
