Tennessee Yards and Neighborhoods, a partnership between the Tennessee Valley Authority, UT Extension and the Tennessee Water Resources Research Center, will host a workshop for homeowners interested in learning the essential steps to a healthy landscape, key strategies to managing soil and turf and how to build a rain garden.

The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church located at 2931 Kingston Pike. Advanced registration is required. To register, call 215-2340.

The cost for the workshop is $35 per person or $50 per couple. The cost covers lunch, workbooks and rain gauges. Participants also will receive a $20 voucher for soil testing.
