Dave Ecklund, director of the Global Supply Chain Executive MBA program, is featured in a Supply Chain Management Review article. The article addresses the fundamentals for warehouses to achieve both efficiency and effectiveness in supply chains, and provides some perspective on current challenges and the future. It is the latest in a continuing series of articles by the UT Knoxville marketing and logistics faculty for the publication to appear every Monday. The series initially will be web-based, but will be consolidated into a print article for next year. Contributing faculty include Paul Dittmann, Ted Stank, Matt Myers, Dave Ecklund, Wendy Tate, Dan Flint and Dianne Mollenkopf. The “Back to Basics” series aims to help professionals master the fundamentals but within the context of the broader supply chain process.
