U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will visit UT Knoxville next week to lecture to the College of Law community and take in Saturday’s UT-Florida game. The lecture, to take place at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, in Cox Auditorium, is being opened up to a limited number of students outside of the law program.

About 170 tickets for Justice Thomas’ lecture will be available on a first come, first served basis at the University Center beginning immediately today, Sept. 9. Only one ticket per student with a valid UT student ID.

“It’s just a wonderful opportunity to show off our tremendous law school and our incredible students to someone who is really important to our judicial system,” said Dean Doug Blaze.

The last time UT’s College of Law hosted a Supreme Court justice was in 1990, when Justice Antonin Scalia visited Knoxville.
