Melony Maness has been named “Morning Concert” host/producer at the University of Tennessee’s public radio station WUOT 91.9 FM. Maness has served as the station’s weekend host since August 2008. In her new role, she replaces Daniel Berry, who retired Sept. 1 after 27 years of hosting the classical morning program.
University of Tennessee head football coach Derek Dooley announced this week that the Volunteer football team’s Vol Walk pregame tradition will be modified to include more fans and to pay homage to the Volunteer Statue, the statue that represents Tennessee’s oldest tradition, the Volunteer.
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, welcomes fans to campus this Saturday for the first home football game of the 2010 season. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET for the Volunteers’ game against the Skyhawks of the University of Tennessee, Martin. Gates open at 4 p.m. VideoSeat pay-per-view will televise the game.
