KNOXVILLE — Volunteer Boulevard from Lake Loudoun Boulevard to Pat Head Summitt Street on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, campus will be closed all day Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26.

The closure is due to underground utility work to support the construction of the Student Health Center.

Drivers heading eastbound on Volunteer Boulevard will be detoured right onto Pat Head Summitt Street, left onto Johnny Majors Drive and left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard before continuing on to Volunteer Boulevard.

Drivers heading westbound on Volunteer Boulevard will be detoured left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard, right onto Johnny Majors Drive and right onto Pat Head Summitt Street before continuing on to Volunteer Boulevard.

Construction began on the 109,242-square-foot Student Health Center, situated at the corner of Volunteer Boulevard and Pat Head Summitt Street, on March 1. The completion date for the project is summer 2011.
