The first of four finalists for the job of director of the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will participate in a public forum today.
The forum featuring Kenneth Richards will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Toyota Auditorium at the Baker Center, 1640 Cumberland Ave.
Richards is an associate professor in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs and an affiliated associate professor at Maurer School of Law at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.

Here’s the schedule for the remaining public forums, also to be held in the Toyota Auditorium at the Baker Center:
• Wednesday, May 6, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. — Christopher Hill, professor and director of the doctoral program in the School of Public Policy at George Mason University in Arlington, Va.
• May 10, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. — Deborah Taylor Tate, former FCC commissioner and now a distinguished scholar at the Free State Foundation in Washington, D.C.
• May 19, 2 to 3 p.m. — Carl Pierce, W. Alllen Separk Distinguished Professor of Law at UT Knoxville and interim director of the Baker Center.
