Nearly 200 students from UT Knoxville will travel to the Clyde Austin 4-H Camp in Greenville, Tenn., on Friday, Nov. 13 for the university’s annual Student Leadership Summit. The two-day conference will help student leaders enhance their leadership skills through interactions with UT staff, faculty and other students.
A UT Knoxville Professor Carol Tenopir is serving on the U.S. Congressional roundtable to study how the results of federally funded research can be more widely disseminated. Tenopir is a professor of information sciences and the director of the Center for Information and Communication Studies at UT Knoxville.
The James Agee Centennial Celebration, a monthlong series of events marking the 100th birthday of the Knoxville native and Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist, screenwriter, journalist, author and poet, continues this weekend with exhibits, lectures and film screenings that explore the connections between Agee, photojournalist Walker Evans and former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln.
