KNOXVILLE — ‘Dialogue,’ WUOT 91.9 FM’s monthly discussion program, has been named the Best Radio Talk Show in Tennessee for the third consecutive year by the Tennessee Associated Press Broadcasters (TAPB).

WUOT airs the call-in talk show on the first Wednesday of every month from 1 to 2 p.m. from its studios at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

“Dialogue” is produced and hosted by WUOT News Director Matt Shafer Powell and “Morning Edition” Host/Reporter Chrissy Keuper. Operations Director Greg Hill is technical director for the program.

Greghri Love is the guest for the June 3 show. Love’s memoir, “There Is An Urgency,” is a stark, heartbreaking account of the abuse and neglect he suffered at the hands of his prostitute mother and her pimp. Love will talk about how he overcame impossible odds to become a candidate for Tennessee Teacher of the Year.

WUOT also won the TAPB’s Best Enterprise award for “My Life. My Vote.,” a series produced by Powell in conjunction with the UT’s Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy.

The station received honorable mentions for Best Overall: WUOT News Staff, Best Hard News Story (TVA vs. Hill): Chrissy Keuper and Best Radio Newscaster: Matt Shafer Powell.
