Samuel Jordan, a junior in forestry at UT Knoxville, has been named a 2009 Morris K. Udall Scholar. The Udall Scholarships honor sophomores and juniors who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to the environment. Each scholarship provides up to $5,000 for one year.
The UT Horse Judging Team recently competed at the Middle Tennessee State University Intercollegiate Horse Judging Contest, marking the revival of a team that last competed in 2001. Composed of mostly novice judges, the Volunteers claimed a sixth place finish overall.
