Petstock

The 1960s had Woodstock. Now the UT College of Veterinary Medicine is presenting Petstock, an animal aid benefit concert and auction. Events begin at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at Hollingsworth Auditorium on the agricultural campus.

Proceeds will benefit the Rescued Animal Assistance Fund for the college’s small and large animal departments. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Children under 3 are free.

The silent auction begins at 5:45 p.m. For a complete list of auction items, including weekend trips, a Dyson vacuum, and UT Lady Vols Guest Coaching positions, visit www.vet.utk.edu/petstock. Many freebies, including copies of Bark Magazine, horse weight measuring tapes, curry combs, and glow in the dark bracelets, will be available.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and will feature family-friendly music about animals by singer/songwriter Allen Levi.

For an additional cost, participants can also enjoy dinner and have family holiday photos taken with Smokey, UTs four-legged mascot, before the concert begins. To purchase tickets or to make a donation, call 974-4379 or email cvmdev@utk.edu. Visit the website for a full schedule and additional information.
