KNOXVILLE — The Ready for the World Café at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will feature a taste of Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Italy Oct. 20-22.

The café will be will open only Monday through Wednesday due to the fall meeting of the UT Board of Trustees.

The menu, designed by students Heather Hartman and Liz Lyons, will include Thai-style chicken in coconut sauce, couscous with garbanzo beans and cumin, pork chops in apricot sauce, Arabian salad with dill and pita crisps, sea bass with Agrodolce sauce, corn and zucchini sauté and Spanish ricotta lasagna.

The café is an international buffet that is operated by students in the Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism 445 course. Most weeks, it is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday in the Hermitage Room on the third floor of the University Center.

Diners pay $10 for the all-you-can-eat buffet or $8.50 for a plate of food to carry out.
