Food and art are the featured fare this week at the Ready for the World Café. The international buffet, open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each Monday through Thursday in the Hermitage Room on the third floor of the University Center, is accompanied by a display of UT students’ artwork.
Knoxville-area UT staff are invited to meet with UT President John Petersen and UT Knoxville Interim Chancellor Jan Simek from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the Cox Auditorium of Alumni Memorial Building. The event is part of President Petersen’s statewide tour of UT’s campuses and institutes.
Four University of Tennessee alumni recently were honored for their service and philanthropy. The annual awards are sponsored by the UT Development Council, a group of alumni and friends who provide leadership and support to UT’s fundraising efforts.
Twenty-one new members have joined the University of Tennessee Chancellor’s Associates. Associates are professional and community leaders who help build public understanding and support of UT Knoxville. The group was established in 1972.
