For the past five years, Chapter 856, Public Acts of 2002 has permitted the university to pay one job-related professional privilege tax on behalf of its faculty and staff. Provided there are no changes to this legislation, the university will once again remit this payment on the behalf of UT employees.
George Dodds, associate professor in the University of Tennessee’s College of Architecture and Design, was invited to join the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) Academy of Distinguished Professors, a newly established group of prominent architecture educators.
Robert Legvold of Columbia University will speak at 7 p.m. in the International House on the UT campus. Legvold, the Marshall D. Shulman Professor in the political science department at Columbia, will talk about recent Russian political developments and their implications for Russian foreign policy.
“Bride and Prejudice” — the Indian version of “Pride and Prejudice,” written by Jane Austen — will be the featured film at Intercultural Intersections at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, in the Hodges Library Auditorium.
