Linda Hendricks has been named Vice President of Human Resources for the University of Tennessee. Hendricks, who has more than 30 years’ experience in higher education, will join UT on May 19. In her new role as the university’s chief human resources officer, Hendricks will lead development of human resources policy and guidelines.

Human rights activist John Prendergast, who is involved in an initiative to end genocide particularly in Sudan and northern Uganda, will speak at UT on March 25. The event, sponsored by the Issues Committee, is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow the event.
