Ready for the World logoCareer Services and the Center for International Education will hold a Spring Global Careers Seminar today and tomorrow. Jean-Marc Hachey, author of The Big Guide to Living and Working Overseas, will explain how to gain international experience and build an "International IQ." This program is a must for anyone considering a global experience as part of their career.

Everyone is invited to attend all three as fits your interest, but there will be one event designed specifically for faculty, advisors and staff and the other two are primarily geared toward students.

Faculty and staff should plan to attend "Helping Students Understand International Careers," 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. tomorrow in the University Center Shiloh Room. This is a brown bag lunch and learn event so attendants are encouraged to bring their own lunch or snack.

Two sessions are designed for students. "Global Career Skills," will be from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. tonight in the University Center auditorium. Students receive advice about going abroad to study, volunteer, intern, teach, work or travel. "The International Job Search," will be from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. tomorrow in the University Center auditorium. Students will learn about selling their skills and writing international resumes for the global job search.

The seminars are free and registration is not required. For more info visit Career Service’s Web site.
