The newly completed Sherri Parker Lee Softball Stadium and the recently dedicated Regal Soccer Stadium will be open to UT employees and their families this afternoon from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for a behind-the-scenes look into two of the nation’s premier athletic facilities.
The $8.5 million dollar Sherri Parker Lee Softball Stadium features a state-of-the-art press box, private boxes, VIP suites, a digital scoreboard with video playback capabilities and 1,581 seats. The facility also includes a new locker room with lounge, in addition to a 6,500 square-foot training facility, film room and coaches offices.
The $7.5 million dollar Regal Soccer Stadium boasts around 3,000 seats, a state-of-the-art scoreboard from Daktronics, elite press boxes, new lockers rooms, players’ lounge and video room with theater seating.
The softball and soccer stadiums are located on Leinard Lane off of Neyland Drive. Parking will be available around both facilities. For more info call 974-6388.
