UT President John Petersen has announced a 21-member search committee, appointed to identify candidates for the chancellor position at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The committee will be chaired by Dr. Harry (Hap) McSween, distinguished professor of planetary sciences.
The leader of a University of Tennessee-Oak Ridge National Laboratory joint institute has been named chairman of an influential advisory committee of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Due to inclement weather, UT will delay opening today, Tuesday, January 22, until 10:00 a.m. All classes and events slated before 10 a.m. have been cancelled. The regular schedule resumes at 10 a.m., when employees are expected to report for work.
