UT professors Greg Kaplan and Luis Cano, and retired professor John Manchip White, will discuss their books about Spain, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Barnes & Noble, 8029 Kingston Pike.

Kaplan and Cano are professors in the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures, and White is a retired English Department professor.

Kaplan is the author of a new book on the rustic churches along Spain’s el Camino de Santiago trail that pilgrims have traveled for more than 1,000 years. The 2007 book is titled "El Cuto a San Millán en Valderredible (Cantabria): Las iglesias rupestres y la formación del Camino de Santiago."

Cano will talk about his studies on science fiction. He is the author of "Intermitente Recurrencia – La ciencia ficción y el canon literario hispanoamericano."

White will discuss his new novel about the Spanish artist Francisco Goya, titled "Goya and the Duchess of Alba at Sanlúcar."
